So, How are we?
Another week has passed us by, but take heart, we’re one step closer to all of this being over!
In the face of such adversity, honestly, I have never experienced a stronger sense of community than what we are experiencing right now. People are pulling together! And, despite our “distance”, communities never seem to have been stronger.
There’s the Thursday night clapping for our hero’s, there’s talking to Doris (who’s name you didn’t know before last week) over the garden fence and there are phone calls and messages to long-forgotten friends and family, to stay in touch.
People are showing that they care. They really do care!
But, what about those of us that never stopped caring?
Those of us that go out on the front line every day, to help those most vulnerable?
Well, we are here, and we are stronger than ever.
Every day we’re hearing of such amazing support from the community. Knocking on windows to tell us how amazing we are, whoops and cheers as we walk down the street. All vital support to help boost our morale.
We have never been busier! But, going to work is such a pleasure when you feel such love and appreciation.
Make no mistake, we are in a fight, a long fight, but every day that goes by is a day closer to the end.
And guess what, WE’RE READY!
Every one of us at Apollo Care is ready to take this to the next level.
A lot of it is down to the amazing support, but a lot of it is also down to our nature. It takes a special person to do what we do!
We are committed to supporting our community through these testing times. We’ve even had staff canceling holidays/leave to offer additional availability.
At a time when he knew a client hadn’t had a call, one of our team took it upon himself to drop by and check everything is ok. Going the extra mile.
One of our team found out that May had a keen interest in feeding the squirrel’s in her garden, so she went out and bought some nuts!
